Overview and prerequisites

  • Your iPad will undergo a factory reset the evening before your migration day to allow for configuration to the J&J computing environment.
  • Please ensure you have backed up all corporate data and contacts to iCloud and OneDrive prior to migration.
  • Please ensure that your PingID is set up in advance by visiting mfa.jnj.com.

Step 1:

Turn on your iPad

  • Select your preferred language.
  • Select your country or region, then select Set Up Manually.
  • Connect to Wi-Fi, then wait a few minutes for the iPad to activate.

Step 2:

Remote management

Your iPad will know it is a managed device and automatically ask you to enroll in remote management.

  • Tap Next.
  • Sign in with your J&J email and the password.
  • You will be directed to PingID.
  • Select Enable Location Services.

Step 3:

Setting up J&J access

  • The Company Portal app will automatically install on your home screen. Your Microsoft applications and PingID will also be installed automatically.
  • Open the Company Portal app and sign in with your J&J email.
  • You will be redirected to PingID.
  • Tap OK, then Allow to authorize notifications

  • Tap Begin to start the enrollment process then Continue.
  • Tap Done when you see You’re all set!
